Are there any possible ways to use the cap jump to your advantage by front loading or even possibly reverse structured contracts?
For example is there a way to sign a guy to an 80 million dollar deal to a contract that gives him 40 the first year and then and average of 40 over the next 3 years?
To me it seems some teams smart route would be to save more cap space in the future by having players with declining contracts.
