What exactly does the cash go to?

Multiple draft picks were traded for cash last night, and I'm curious as to what exactly that money can be used for?

Vacation money for the owner, a fleet of luxury cars for his wife and kids, a new mansion, you name it. Money is money, it gets spent somewhere that he wants to spend it.

I like to think they just throw it around and random servants have to keep picking it up, but they skim a little off the top each time.

In reality, when they say a team "bought" a pick, they really did buy the pick. Not a simplified term for something more complex.

I'm aware of that, I'm just saying what does this money affect and/or come from?

It has no effect on the cap, correct?

Is there a limit of money you could trade?

$3.4 million until 7/1 when it increases to $3.5 million.

And no impact on the cap.

It comes from the owner. Not trying to be snarky, but it is as simple as it sounds.

Entire year.

And there is the same limit on incoming money as well.
