Error in the CBA FAQ (Question 100 has out of date examples)

Post#1 » by Fencer reregistered » Mon Feb 27, 2017 5:47 am

There's an out of date sentence in http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q100, specifically

Few players actually have one of these negotiated no-trade provisions (currently only Carmelo Anthony, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitzki and Dwyane Wade have them).

:)

Yes. From that list, only Melo and Dirk are still applicable.

Since there's a brand new CBA that's been signed, there will be a brand new FAQ coming in the next few months, with everything new and up to date, and this one will be archived.

Weren't there some articles saying Deron Williams fell in a peculiar situation where he had one earlier this season too? #noTradeProvision

No. D Will had no-trade control because of the quirks of the rules applying to his contract (he signed a one-year deal with his prior team), but there was not a no-trade negotiated for and written into his deal.
