I apologize if this has been asked and answered before...

but I've read in different places that under the new CBA the luxury tax calculation has been changed and will be based upon the total salary a team pays during the season, not just their payroll snapshot at the end of the regular season

if that bad information? Has the calculation remained the same?

I haven't seen info of such an adjustment being made to the calculation of Team Salary for tax calculation. (Could have missed it, but don't think I did, and don't see it in my notes.)

You may be thinking of the revised calculation of Team Salary for the purpose of meeting minimum Team Salary, which will be adjusted in the fashion you mention.
