Deadline for final roster spots/cuts?

Could a team still have over 15 players on their roster right now? If so, when is the deadline?

Yes. Teams can carry up to 20 players (combination of NBA deals and two-way deals) during the offseason. Teams have to drop to a max of 17 players (up to 15 NBA deals and 2 two-way deals) before the regular season. It is generally within a couple of days to the season starting. I haven't seen a date for this year yet, with the start of the season being moved up.

Last season saw a very small number of teams keep their rosters above the minimum until the exact day before the season started; thus owing two days of nba service and pay to even fully unguaranteed players for the time to clear waivers.

Unless something has changed, the dates should be the same with a conventional two days beforehand widely followed deadline so players can clear waivers and not hit as a roster charge, but technically a final deadline of 5pm the day beforehand.
