Waived players on non-guaranteed contracts

As I understand it, if a player is waived they normally go to the waiver wire where another team can claim his contract. Now if a player is on a non-guaranteed contract do they still go on the wire or is their contract considered to be terminated immediately and they can then sign with any team?
Does a player whose contract is terminated always go on the wire or can they just be terminated and not go on the wire?

There is only one mechanism for a team ending an NBA contract before it runs out - which is to "waive" them, which involves their contract going through the waivers process and being made available as is to every other team. Every contract.

Unlike MLB, where teams can waive a player outright and they become and immediate free agents, every waived NBA player must pass through waivers before becoming a free agent.

Theoretically, then, a team could waive a non-guaranteed contract and another team could claim that contract off waivers, and that same non-guaranteed contract would then belong to the team that claimed it?

When a player is waived to accommodate a trade can you waive one of the received players in the trade once they're on the roster and reclaim your player off of the waiver wire also?
Is there a restriction on how soon you can resign a player after waiving them?

They also go through waivers to be released.

Yes, if there was a buyout ie a reduction in salary as part of the waivers.

Thanks for the answers.
Am i correct in assuming that if they are bought out in full they can be resigned immediately?

"Buy out" and "in full" are actually contradictory terminology, as a "buyout" is used to refer to a negotiated reduction in obligation. But if a player is waived without a buyout, then yes they can be re-signed by the same team whenever, subject of course to the cap ability and roster space to do so.
