Cash Considerations

If a team sends cash ( up to 3 million ) in a trade does that money count toward the cap ? What is the effect of that monies?

The $3M does not count against the cap. The main effect is to make the owner receiving the cash $3M richer.

^Exactly. It also cannot be used to circumvent the 125%+$100K provision of the CBA in trades (i.e. it does not count as "salary" outgoing).
