Dampier Contract - What makes it vest in the last year?

There is some question of mavs board about Damp's contract. We know the last year has to vest to be guaranteed, but cannot recall under what terms. The though is that it is double double averages for 2 yrs, or 2 All Star teams. Is there any place that shows this?
Thanks

Erick Dampier's 2010-2011 salary of $13,078,000 has no salary protection; which then increases to full if (1) player is selected to play in any three NBA All-Star Games out of the 2004-2005 through the 2009-2010 seasons or (2) player plays at least 2,100 minutes in the 70 regular season games in the 2009-2010 season in which player plays the most minutes (and if player plays in less than 70 regular season games in the 2009-2010 season, then player must play at least 2,100 minutes for the entire regular season).

Sorry for bumping a very old thread, but I have one more question on his contract if it is not too much trouble.
Assuming the inevitable, Damp's contract becomes unguaranteed because he fails to play enough minutes, what date does Cuban (or whatever team he is on) have to waive him by before the contract becomes guaranteed?

If there's a date, it isn't disclosed yet in anything we've seen. Which means if he isn't waived before then, it becomes a non-guaranteed deal all 2010-11 season, in essence a pay-as-you-go (like a rookie often has) where he can be cut at any time prior to Jan 10, 2011 and nothing more is owed other than pro-rated up to that point at the contract value..
On 1/10/11 it would automatically become guaranteed for the rest of the season if he's still on a roster with that contract at that point. (Won't happen. of course.)

Further to Gump's answer, the fact that there appears to be no date makes that thing a bloody nice trading chip. You can spend months whoring out that bad boy to the highest bidder, all the way to training camp. Or even beyond, in an unrealistic world.

I agree sham. He would be better than Ratliff in the KG deal or better than Kwame in the Gasol deal. Hopefully we re-sign Bass and get a goot player late in this year's draft to pair with him
And thanks for the info FGump and Sham

Not until someone waives him.
