UPDATE 2.0.1

ASSUMPTIONS
1. Salary cap - $58M
2. MLE - $5.5M
3. To be considered "under the cap" for this exercise, you have to have "more than MLE" cap space, ie be able to be below $52M.

Teams Over the Cap (26): the following teams are over the cap and will only have the MLE available to them in free agency.

Atlanta
Boston
Charlotte ....They are at $50M or so with picks and set-asides for empty roster slots, and that doesn't include Okafor's cap hold of almost $15M. They won't renounce his rights.
Chicago
Cleveland
Dallas
Denver
Detroit
Houston
Indiana
L.A.Lakers
Minnesota ... Counting picks and money for empty roster slots, they are right at 52M.
Miami
Milwaukee
New Jersey
New Orleans
New York
Orlando
Phoenix
Portland
Sacramento
San Antonio
Seattle
Toronto
Utah
Washington ... In theory they have a ton of cap room, but once Jamison signs @ $10M, they'll be above 52M without Arenas.

Teams with over-MLE spending room (4)

LA Clippers
Golden State
Memphis
Philadelphia

FREE AGENTS worth noting

The following players are notable free agents who could be in the running to get a deal for more than the full MLE. Many are restricted, meaning that their initial teams have the right to match any offer.

There are a bunch of other free agents (see link below), but we've only included the ones thought to have some sort of a shot at significant deals.

About time for a bump, plus Golden State and the Clippers have joined the free agent conversation with Brand, Davis and Magette opting out.
