Jasikevicius question cap experts!

Alright ... Jasikevicius bought out his contract ($4 million) with the Warriors.
Even though, the buyout amount didn't have to be all that $4 million, which would mean he is still on Warriors' cap this year with some amount - the fact that he is earning 3.5 million euros this year in Greece ($5.5 million in this moment) erases the obligation from Warriors' end (the right of a set-off).
Am I correct cap experts?

The Warriors are responsible for the amount of the buyout & it counts against their cap. The amount is $1 million, per Sham

I found an article where it says that after the buyout, Jasikevicius signed a two-year, 7 million euros deal with the team from Athens. At that time, that amount was equal with $9.9 million. So he is paid $4.95 million per season.
On top of that, Panathinaikos gave Sarunas an additional 1.8 million euros to byout his $4 million contract with the Warriors. That was something like $2.5 million back then.
Even though $1.5 million has stayed on the Warriors payroll (assuming he didn't paid a dime by himself to be free) - that amount too should come of the Warriors team payroll simply because of the right to set-off. His salary with Pao is an equivalent of $5 million this year.

From news reports at the time, SJ asked for the buyout because he had a deal pending. this is similar to Viktor Khryapa asking to be bought out since he had a deal pending in Russia.
I dont believe either player actually paid their team to be released. SJ had just picked up his option a short time previous.

The right to set off can be waived in the buy out agreement, as it is in most cases where the buy out figure is less that the full amount owed the player.
