Hi there,
I was wondering if there were any stats on how many rookies have lasted the whole 4 years and how many have been cut early?
it would be interesting to see how much money that would saved overall (particularly luxury tax) but that's a more difficult question that I won't bother you with.
Also, I wonder how the Players Union is taking it. Are they happy? Not bothered? Will they be contesting it at the next CBA?
Any stats on rookie options not being taken up?

It's not as many as you would think. I just checked the 2006 NBA Draft (Bargnani draft), and only 2 players had their team decline the team option: Patrick O'Bryant (#9) & Shannon Brown (#25).
Looking over last years draft (Oden draft), it doesn't seem likely that any of the players will have their team options declined.
