Buying a draft pick?

Post#1 » by golfer2 » Wed Jun 4, 2008 1:49 pm

The Cavs don't have a second round pick in this draft (2008). Seattle has 4.

Can the Cavs just buy one of Seattle's pick for cash? If so, how much - would that be the $3 million limit?

It's perfectly legal to just buy one. It just doesn't happen very often.

As for how much it would cost - it costs what Seatle says it costs. $3 million is the upper limit.

I think that buying second round picks is relatively common. I have always been curious to see what the prices are but that info never really gets listed in the reports.
