That depends on what you use to sign him, but for up to 5, I believe.

Yeah, I'm fairly confident if you use the MLE or part of the MLE you can sign them for 5 years.

If you have cap room, 5 (same as any other free agent you sign, that isn't your own free agent).

If you don't have cap room, it depends on what exception you use to sign him. You will be limited to the max length of that exception.
Minimum - 2
MLE - 5
BAE - 2
Disabled Player - 5

I don't think that's correct. Didn't Utah sign Paul Millsap to a 3 year minimum contract deal?

I'm pretty sure there have been other 2nd round rookies who have been signed for 3 years also.

I remember Cleveland had the team option on boozer... so they could of had him for 3 seasons.

Utah used part of the MLE to do it, as is always the case with three year minimum salary contracts.

If you use the Minimum Salary Exception, the max number of years is two years.
If you use a different exception, but the contract is for the league minimum amount, the max number of years depends on which exception you use.
