$681,400 Denver (Reggie Evans)
$770,610 Denver (Von Wafer)
$938,200 Detroit (Nazr)
$2,284,200 Houston (Bonzi)
$917,473 Houston (Snyder)
$2,699,140 Indiana (J.O'Neal)
$1,440,960 Minnesota (G.Green)

$5,205,000 Chicago (Joe Smith) - Expires roughly Feb. 21, 2009
$1,750,000 Cleveland (Wesley) - Expires roughly September 30, 2008
$1,629,120 Cleveland (Cedric Simmons) - Expires roughly Feb. 21, 2009
$10,000,000 Denver (Camby) - Expires roughly July 16, 2009
$681,400 Denver (Reggie Evans) - Expires roughly Sep. 11, 2008
$770,610 Denver (Von Wafer) - Expires roughly Feb. 21, 2009
$938,200 Detroit (Nazr) - Expires roughly Dec. 14, 2008
$2,284,200 Houston (Bonzi) - Expires roughly Feb. 22, 2009
$917,473 Houston (Snyder) - Expires roughly Feb. 21, 2009
$2,699,140 Indiana (J.O'Neal) - Expires roughly July 9, 2009
$1,440,960 Minnesota (G.Green) - Expires roughly Feb. 21, 2009
$599,254 Minnesota (Hassell) - Expires roughly Sep. 29, 2008
$3,308,503 New Jersey (Kidd) - Expires roughly Feb. 20, 2009
$687,456 New Orleans (Vicinius) - Expires roughly Feb. 22, 2009
$3,226,135 OK City (Szczerbiak) - Expires roughly Feb. 21, 2009
$1,889,760 OK City (Delonte West) - Expires roughly Feb. 21, 2009
$500,000 Philadelphia (Korver) - Expires roughly Dec. 30, 2008
$8,091,189 Phoenix (Kurt Thomas) - Expired roughly July 21, 2008
$715,760 Sacramento (Bibby) - Expires roughly Feb. 17, 2009
$1,747,096 San Antonio (Udrih) - Expires roughly Oct. 30, 2008

The reason I used "roughly" on each one of these is because I simply went off of when major news services announced the deals, thus, the NBA head office could have ran the deal through officially on a different day.

Hope this helps. The only one really affected is Kurt Thomas' TPE which expired about a week ago. The Hassell, Wesley, and Reggie Evans TPE expire relatively soon.

shrink -

Pretty good list. Very close to what I have.

It's my understanding that New Jersey used the TE from the Kidd trade to obtain Keyon Dooling. Then, I believe, they generated a new TE for $1,262,520 in the Marcus Williams trade to Golden State.

I also believe that Orlando generated a $3.3 million TE by trading Dooling to the Nets.

I have my best guesses for trade exceptions on my site (www.storytellerscontracts.info) on the team salary page.

The ESPN trade machine also lists trade exceptions on the bottom of each team's salary list.

But shrink has given you a pretty good list here.

As discussed in another thread, no way that Philly one still exists.

Thanks for the additions everyone .. it helps clean up my own numbers.

Special thanks to So Cal, because while I use your salary info all the time (I love being able to see all the salaries at once to find the perfect fit for trade creations!), I'd somehow missed your team salary page. That's instantly going into my favorites.

I'll just throw my thanks in to So Cal as well- that site is laid out just perfectly for how I prefer to look at salary information. Thanks for all the hard work.

Thanks for posting the exceptions. If somebody can clarify something simple for me: Hypothetically, can a team trade a 1st rounder and a minimum player for any size TPE, or do the player's salary and the TPE being swapped have to be within 15% like a regular trade? Thanks.

#1 - You don't need a trade exception to get a minimum salary player - the minimum salary player exception allows you to take in a player making the minimum salary without having to send out 'matching' salary.

#2 - The traded player exception, which allows teams over the cap to make trades, says that you can either take back 125% + $100,000 in salary now OR take back 100% + $100,000 at some point in the next year. You cannot mix the two by taking back 125% using a trade exception months after the original trade that generated the trade exception. I hope that makes sense.

#3 - Sham put it well earlier in another thread. Trade exceptions are generated and they are used. They are never traded or 'sent' to another team. A trade may occur in which a trade exception is used by one team and another trade exception is generated by another team, but this should not be confused with the idea that somehow the trade exception was sent from one team to another. It's also possible for a trade exception to be used to facilitate a trade and no new trade exception is generated for the other team - and that happens often.

Hey, if anyone gets anything positive out of the site, I'm happy. I'm not connected like several people on this board, and I am guessing a lot to come up with numbers - only to often correct them after reading posts on this board by people who actually are in the know. I am greatly indebted to those with real information who choose to put it up here for me and for the rest of us. I just got tired (about 7 years ago) of having to depend on Hoopshype for player salary information and started keeping track of it myself, as much as I was able to. I don't post here as much as I could or maybe should, but this forum has been my #1 place for education on the CBA and salary information.
