What does David Stern make?

I was reading the 990 Form for the NFL and the NFL Commissioner currently makes 10MM per year in salary. That seemed like alot, but I remember in the late 90s, David Stern made more money than any commissioner at 2.8MM per. I was wondering if he is still leading in salary and what his current salary is. Also is the NBA a "non profit" organization like the NFL?

I believe he's taking home about $7-8 million per season.

Not that I like Stern but that number seems a bit low when you consider that CEOs'/Presidents of corporations smaller than the NBA make more money...

well that was in 1990. I'm sure he makes lots more now.
The NFL commish makes 10 million now.

In 2004 he was getting 8 Million.
Team owners rewarded Stern with an annual salary of $8 million.
