Does a rookie contract count against the lux tax?

Someone on another forum tried to tell me it didn't, I can't find anything to say whether it does or doesn't.

Maybe someone could help me out, I really have no idea why it wouldnt. But i'm hoping it doesn't(bucks are in a cap hell)

Yes salaries of ALL the players on a team's roster count against the cap and tax, plus some other items as well.
