How does his 3.8 mil contract next year, 500k guaranteed, work regarding cap space?

Does it fully guarantee on a particular date like most do (I've looked around cannot find a date)?

From what I understand the contract has no specific date when it becomes fully guaranteed, other than the date all NG contracts become guaranteed. Therefore he counts $3.8M against the Nets cap unless they waive him. In that case he counts $500K against their cap.
