We had an extended (and contentious) discussion covering just about every possible permutation of suspending or terminating Arenas in January and February. In fact, you started that one too. I'm sure that whatever sentence he gets, his attorney will be sure that he's out of jail by the beginning of training camp. So your question are no doubt moot.
That thread related to his situation prior to the plea bargain. Now that we know the parameters of the please bargain there is the possibility that he could serve jail time and that jail time could encroach on training camp. The plea bargain limits Arenas' jail time to 6 months. If he gets a 6 month jail sentence and has to start serving on April 1 he could miss the beginning of training camp. Even if he fights the 6 month sentence and gets it reduced he could look at 3 months but if the deliberations push the beginning of the sentence into June he also has a risk.
Thus, now that the facts have settled more the question is relevant whether missing training camp or pre-season preparations in general could give the Wizards a basis to void the contract. If you are tired of the subject or have nothing to contribute then perhaps you shouldn't post?
