I don't really mind all the banners and stuff on this site, obviously they have to pay for the site somehow. However, there is a specific ad that uses trickery to force you to click on it and redirect you to a website you have no desire to go to.
The ad I am speaking of is for Circuit city. The majority of the time, it is the vertical banner on the right of the front page, which is fine. However, it's got some extension where it will bubble out on top of the middle of the page without you realizing it. So if you try and click on the "forums" link (which is clicked thousands of times a day I'm sure,) then you are unintentionally redirected to circuitcity.com because the ad is an invisible force in the middle of the page. I believe this is a cheap way to gain ad revenue, because I'm sure they get fractions of a cent for each time that advertisement is clicked.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is anyone as annoyed as I am?
