ignore enhanchment request: quoted text

Post#1 » by dacher » Fri Feb 29, 2008 4:28 am

This has probably been asked for before.

For the first time in 2 years I've 'ignored' a new prolific poster. But every time someone responds to him and 'quotes' him, I have to read his aggravating post in the quote, which unsurprisingly happens quite often. This defeats the whole purpose of 'ignoring' him.

So my request is for the system to skip or hide a post if his name also appears as the source a 'quote' block in the post.

I could be wrong, but I don't think phpBB supports that option. There's a lot of people who are complaining about it, but I don't think there's anything to do.

Also, if you read the name of the poster being quoted just try to ignore it manually and get on with the topic at hand. There's really not much else you can do..

The quote function doesn't really quote the poster. It prepopulates text in the response. There isn't a way to do it.
