The bold font is not very bold.
.Especially when it's in quotes
A little hard to distinguish quickly.
As a result I see a lot of people doing this instead.

maybe it's just your computer. when I use my laptop there's little difference just as you describe it. when I'm at work, like I'm now, I can see a big enough difference.
