A little over a week ago, a user by the name of KELLZ starts a weekly pick'em contest. He's taking the time to look at everyone's picks, keep the standings updated in google spreadsheets, etc.
So it comes time for week 2, and he makes a new thread for it. He has to do this in order to be able to keep up with everyone's picks, rather than going and searching through 1 giant thread, which would be a lot harder. Keep in mind that on the Knicks board, a thread will disappear off the first page after a few hours if no one responds to it, so having a new thread every week is not a big deal at all.
Anyway, an unknown mod decides to merge the threads. KELLZ explains why he needs a separate thread, and asks that they be unmerged. Nothing happens. He proceeds to make another week 2 thread, which gets deleted, then he makes a thread asking mods why they're merging his threads, and THAT thread gets deleted without any explanation. So after he almost gives up on pick'em, several users (including a retired mod) convince him to try one more time, because this is a cool idea. So he makes yet another week 2 thread, and of course it's merged. Again, no explanation.
Can something be done about this? There is no reason whatsoever why this should be happening, and if a mod is going to continually delete/merge these threads, shouldn't there at least be an explanation?
Here's a link to the thread and the standings page.

Update: A mod by the name of nyknick2k2 tried to help, unmerging the threads, but the threads were later merged back. This happened twice. I'm pretty sure mjhp911 is the one responsible for this, and there has still been no explanation given.

Have you contacted the mod that you believe did it? If not, it's probably best instead of calling him out.
