OT: Why doesn't wap site work?

How come the WAP site doesn't work, I am going to be getting a Blackberry with limited data - and I'd benefit from the data compression plus low-res version.

Also, does realGM have e-mail/mobile alerts? I'd save alot of data/use my unlim. text if they sent mobile alerts rather than coming to the site.

Is there RSS? What is RSS lol...

you can still use RealGM through Safari on iPhone but I don't know about Blackberry. Personally they are pretty crap and i would rather have an iPhone for web use anyways.

You could probably find an RSS to Text Message system online, but you wouldn't want full articles texted to you. I think that RealGM should set up a text update system for their wiretap, all it would take is the author of an article adding a 140 character quip before submitting the article that could be used as the mobile update version of the article.

There's a mobile version of the realgm homepage but not for the forums.

Also the opera mini browser does data compression so I'd recommend you that if you want to lower your data usage.

BB's BIS is automatically more compressed than if you were using another Smartphone. WAP on a Msg Board this size may be too costly to implement.

Set your BB Browser to FireFox Emulation and turn on Java...if you don't want to use the latest Opera Mini.

I'd also recommend an Unlimited Data plan, because even using WAP sites will run through your Monthly Data limits rather fast. They're cheap Unlimited Data Plans out there now for individual Plans.
