Realgm needs an upvote downvote system

Post#1 » by expired_meme » Sun Nov 14, 2010 7:33 am

Every single thread's first few replies are almost always either one of:
1. This topic's dumb
2. OP is dumb
3. Expired meme

With the upvote/downvote system these would be relegated to eh back pages and comments that actually stimulate conversation will be upvoted. At the very least a downvote system needs to be set in place to just like compress stupid posts. I think if this was instituted then the system would just be a lot more efficient.

So successful ideas aren't supposed to be emulated? Point being even decent threads are derailed by the idiots who come and post nonsense, there should definitely be an option to at the very compress rubbish posts. I really hate reading topics and having the first 5 posts be "ibtl", "dude is a hater", "yes" and other things that do absolutely NOTHING to further enhance conversation. There should also be a compress counter so posters will be further detered from posting nonsense.

Does anyone actually believe that we are mature enough for such power? Every post would be marked as spam.

It would be better if we could vote off mods, like on the GB we could hold a vote and kick off a mod.
