It doesn't go away until you purchase the product.

Sorry bro.

Ya I hate the pop up too. Completely obnoxious. I know Realgm is trying to make some extra cash but I kind of compare it to putting ads on NBA jerseys. They already have plenty of ads on the site do they really need one that gets in the way of how the site functions? I don't know how many times I have scrolled over the pop up that opens up ANOTHER pop up when I am simply trying to get back to the forum I was browsing through.

Seriously lame might be time to go look for another forum.

Reposting my (CR Reina) response from the other thread:

Thank you for the feedback. We always listen to your opinions and feedback on these issues to make sure the user experience remains optimal and that we strike a good balance.

We weren't expecting a video to accompany the toolbar and so we quickly decided to pull it soon after it appeared on Friday. The company we worked with was unable to remove it until Monday morning because they were gone for the weekend.

I agree with the sentiment that the toolbar would be more appropriate on an article page rather than the forums since there are more pageviews here.

Either way, we will continue to go without the toolbar for at least the time being even though we do see it more and more on other sites.

As an FYI, here is a partial list of ads that we do not allow and if they do appear it is without permission and we will have them removed if you let us know:

Pop-Ups
Auto-Sound Ads
Auto-Expandable Ads
Suggestive Ads
Flashing Ads

Maybe it's just me but I'm good with the suggestive ads. I have no problem with hot chicks wearing next to nothing eating a Popsicle or hot dog. Just a friendly FYI

I was starting to think i was the only one getting those ads like Axe was targeting me specifically and other people were getting different ads which made me think if i actually stink or not. The toolbar ad is the one i hate the most and it seems to be appearing everywhere, cant stand it. But i probably prefer suggestive ads.

Realgm has sold out big time. It might be time to look for another forum if the advertisement-whoring bothers you.
