It's not a bad idea, although it will probably encourage people to reply with "OH YOU JUST THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD CALL BECAUSE YOU'RE A _____ FAN!!!" more often.

Although it would be nice for other forums, seems like a ton of people on here are fans of other sports, but don't use those forums (which as the Bulls forum using it for Bears game, or the Warriors forum using it for Giants or Niners talk). This way a mod of one of those forums could send a friendly reminder to those fans that we have a (hopefully) active forum that would love to get more members to post in.

I wouldn't mind. I like the idea of associating members to teams, it could encourage discussion just as much.
