This was a really interesting thread to me and I have no idea why it was locked?
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1204344
Is there any possibility of making it so that mods or whoever actually make a post with a reason/justification for locking a thread? How was this thread hurting anybody?
This seems to me to be a clear example of over-moderation.

Re: Why was this GB thread locked?
I would like to know the answer to your question as well. Here is another example of a thread a mod locked for no other reason than he didn't like the subject:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1204343
Thread received 5 replies in 10 minutes, which suggests there was interest in the humorous topic. I don't see how that thread was any different from previous one where people made fun of Kobe for dressing in drag. Yet the mod locked the Tyson Chandler version under the explanation that it wasn't worthy of its own thread. I would ask the mods then: was there ANOTHER thread in the first 5 pages of the general board where a similar thread already existed? If the answer is NO, then why was that one locked within 10 minutes, but the Kobe thread wasn't?
It seems to me that some of the overzealous moderators need to be held accountable for shenanigans like that. It's getting ridiculous.

I can't answer for the first one, but the second one was not thread-worthy. We have a .gif/NBA image thread at the top of the page that already had the same picture posted ~3 hours earlier.

Re: Why was this GB thread locked?
Could we please get explanations before threads get locked? I don't think that's too much to ask for.
I think a thread about shooting forms is thread-worthy in this time of the offseason. No reason to lock IMO.

The shooting forms thread HAS an explanation. The thread was put in the wrong forum.

Re: Why was this GB thread locked?
Something completely unrelated...
That thread linked to in the 2nd post (http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1204343) sets off my googledar and says that the website http://www.sportslogos.net is known to give off malware.
It looks like the avatar of the first poster is from sportslogos.net.
Thanks.

Tubal,
I have Google as well and my alarm was not going off.
Please let me know if this problem still persists.
