Consider this:

Editing your post should erase all and-1's it had previously received. Sometimes, people later add stuff that you wouldn't necessarily want to endorse.
Make it that it equally applies when no mention of editing is present, like when you edit the last post in a topic, as it may be a separate protocol that one could omit to include in this rule.

Is anyone really using this feature? I very rarely see +1 anywhere. Maybe the forums I visit just don't have any good posts

I have noticed that no one is using it anymore too. People were using it a lot in the first couple of weeks, but they just stopped completely after that. If there was a counter under everyone's username to show all the total And1s received to date, then maybe people would use it more. It just seems pointless otherwise. All the other message boards that I frequent that have a Thanks or Kudos system similar to this one keep a running total for each individual user to recognize the top contributors.

maybe not just a total, but maybe like a percentage of and1's based on total posts. so you know the poster posts quality stuff.

agree, it shouldn't need to refresh the page just for that. (EDIT: ajax should do the trick)


also, can we remove an and 1 if we change our minds? if not, please consider adding that feature in the future as well.
