Our ad partners are working to eliminate all the issues reported this week. We are continuing to send them your reports, which are helpful to identify and eliminate them as quickly as possible.

These ad types have been eliminated.

We've been told that all of the issues should now be resolved. Please let me know if you see anything else because they are on high alert.

I know this is hard to control but as someone who watches games the next day RealGM ads are pretty brutal for spoilers right now, if you see a baseball player's jersey you know that team won that night.

Re: All Advertising Questions
Hello Admins, currently there is a giant tiktok ad that takes up the bottom half of the phone screen, rendering the forum unusable unless you close and come back to the page, and even then it sometimes comes back. I've tried to include a screenshot . I'm using Chrome on Android.

Re: All Advertising Questions
extremely obtrusive pop under ads today never encountered this, “you have malware, download this”. I use adblockers and it was able to bypass.

Yeah, same. They are crazy aggressive and obtrusive. Will find another forum if these keep up.

Re: All Advertising Questions
Reading Realgm on the bus while on a new phone (so keep that in mind for a couple of reasons - fresh cache, cookies, unlikely to have malware etc).
I've got on 3 occasions an ad that takes up bottom half of the screen that has an 'X' to close, that when
I do it, takes me instead to another page with naked women on it. Sorry I wish I could have taken screenshots or given more detail but it was absolutely embarrassing to have it (the ad
) pop up on a bus with someone sitting next to me. I think one of the 'intro' ads that led to the site was about impotency if that helps.
This is the first time I've seriously considered adblocks. I can't be having porn pop up.

Re: All Advertising Questions
Terrible to have a McAfee ad pop up on the lower right that says "McAfee antivirus Off", like it's installed on your system. Misleading ads are not cool RG.

Re: All Advertising Questions
Yeah, these new ads are annoying. They look like something you’d see on a porn site.
P.S.: There are also popunder ads which make the site hard to follow.

Re: All Advertising Questions
Flipcart pop ups start after Brave browser has loaded. So now even the cleanest browser is affected. FYI. Hope this gets fixed soon.

Re: All Advertising Questions
We've been working to get these eliminated as quickly as possible. This should 100 percent not be happening. Please continue to send feedback here so we can pass along the details to help pinpoint how they are sneaking in.

Re: All Advertising Questions
It almost feels like people in charge of these ads read these comments.
A day or two after Brave browser was heralded as clean, pop ups on Brave came up for the first time.
The only way I've found the pop ups don't appear at all after a page loads is if JavaScript is blocked (on Brave, go to Settings, then Site Settings to find it).
But then of course half of websites don't function well without it so...

Re: All Advertising Questions
We were able to pinpoint the issue and believe it is isolated to people using adblock. This is why it took us longer to resolve. The source of the issue has been eliminated immediately on the non-forum pages and should also be removed from the forums shortly.
You can also turn off adblocker to stop this from running immediately.

Re: All Advertising Questions
Just to state, I've never used an adblock and was having the issue I described on this page. I even mentioned it may drive me to use one
