Thanks for the additional information. We have everyone investigating and have blocks in place for those URLs, but they haven't been able to recreate it which is what they typically need to remove it permanently.

None of the folks trying to resolve the issue have been able to recreate it. Can you confirm whether you have adblock enabled?

I've been getting an infuriating ad window that gets around my AdBlock and jumps the page around for the first 5-10 seconds after I load a page. It's right below the forums navigation bar at the top of the page, in a black box. Most of the ads that appear are vertical, so it really affects the page loading.

FYI, the header ad the last week has been awful for CLS (cumulative layout shift). It's bouncing the page up and down and causing me to misclick on links.

I have my ad blockers on but it's persisting through.

basically echoing what people above have said.

This Mcafee antivirus ad you have is misleading, predatory, takes the full screen, and is making the website unusable

Came here to say the same. Upper right hand corner, every page. Right in your viewing area. So annoying you feel like you have to close them, but the close button is fiddly and half the time I navigate to the ad.

Which I guess is the point, the ads are getting click throughs, Realgm is getting money from that, I am getting inconvenienced and having to navigate back and never once actually interacting with the ad in a way it would make the advertiser money.

The audacity of this site to ask me to turn off my ad blocker while delivering the most obnoxious, annoying, and inconvenient ads is shocking. Hmm I wonder why people would use an ad blocker here

Yep, while saying they need to pay for the site but not considering alternate revenue options such as paid ad free memberships.

Most people have no problem blocking ads, either with extensions or using specific browsers. Paid memberships wouldn't be worth the effort to implement.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Depends on the cost. CD's used to cost 15 to 20 dollars so people Napstered their music collection. Then Apple came out and charged $1.00 per song. They made a fortune.

Charge me $56 dollars a year, yah, no, the ad blocking will continue. Charge me $1 a month, then I would find that dollar to give to RealGM. RealGM's not making 12 bucks a year off me while I'm ad-blocking. Block users from certain features if they don't pay. Free account doesn't have access to the trade checker for example.

So, we're just not gonna bother fixing this annoying as hell ad?

Crazy bold. Imagine my confusion looking at that pop up as it takes up only the middle portion of the screen - allowing the unblocked ads to still be seen.
