Alright we as true Football lovers, would love if the kind Administrator changed the awful name soccer to Football! Why because Football is older then any sport on here that has a section and we deserve the respect and plus it is the most populated sport in the World hands down! Also FIFA World Cup is the biggest sporting event in the World that happens every 4 years, even bigger then whole Olympics so we deserve the True name Football not bloody soccer!
So please Administrator, can you change soccer to Football the right name of the Sport.
Thank You & Please.

No. It's Soccer in English speaking North America. It's interchangeable in Australia and New Zealand. The World Cup Finals will be played in a venue called Soccer City.

No, I proved you completely wrong that the sport can not be called Soccer. In South Africa they call it both things. Calling it Football is an English tradition. Soccer predates it and is standard in most parts of English language world. And if you don't like it tough titty.

Sorry, but we'd much rather call a game that is kicked perhaps 8 times during a game "football". It makes almost perfect sense, well that and the fact that "roidball" wasn't good from a marketing standpoint and "11-whole-minutes-of-action-during-a-3-hour-telecast ball" was too long and laden with far too much truth.

There are many different sports locally called "Football", the most common being Association Football. The majority audience of this site is English Speaking North Americans, and thus using the dialect of the audience you are writing for makes more sense than some douche bag nit picking about semantics.

RealGM is hosted in the US, where Football is Football, and Soccer is Soccer.
Like mentioned prior, if RealGM ever expands it's base hosting to other Continents where Soccer is Football, then maybe it'll be considered then.
Until then, sorry mate.

should've colorized all the spanish, french and
turkish speaking countries that use a formation of the word "football" in that map.
but yea, it's pretty stupid to argue this in a north american based website.

In Australia it's officially recognized as football now. I don't care either way, great sport but it's just a word.

That is how the Spanish countries spell Futbol but it is still sounds like Football. Like I posted above my country spells it Fudbal still sounds like Football. Each country has their way how they spell it but all sounds like Football and they understand it.
