I am the banned user rapsncavs. I got banned for being a "returning banned user". I am not one of these, so to me it made no sense that you would ban me. Then I remembered that this guy gamer4life was following me around and calling me "Hobo Gonzalez". I have a feeling looking back that he was talking about a banned user, and now you guys think that I am him. Let me assure you that I am not him.

Anyway, I would like my account back. Also, I would like to warn you that banning posters due to one posters opinion is usually not very smart. It could be possible that he didn't seriously think I was this Hobo character, and that he just wanted me banned because I was just destroying him and many other posters.

They can check your IP address.

We typically go on more concrete evidence over a poster's opinion. IP checks and such.

That being said, you do seem to post on the exact same boards as Hobo did and in a similar style, so I'd imagine that may have played a part. I'll try to direct who ever banned your last personna here.

I did not ban you for being a specifically banned poster, but rather because you're posting from known proxy sites that hide your IP address. I don't know which banned poster you are- my belief is that you're either Hobo Gonzolez, or J-Slim. If you are posting from proxies for privacy reasons, let me assure you, there is nothing for me to with your ip address information other than to check it against known proxies.

My conclusion is that I banned you for an acceptable reason, and that I'll be requesting another ban for you starting a duplicate account. If you would like to post here, please do not use a proxy.

I completely agree that this is an acceptable reason. I mean having people post form proxys hurts realgm.com in so many ways.

It does hurt realgm. Disruptive posters would otherwise simply be able to rejoin and drive down the quality of discussion. But not to worry: if you are as innocent as you claim to be, simply rejoin this site without a proxy. If you are not a formerly banned member, then your IP won't be flagged as banned.

knicks_raptors is J-Slim.. J-Slim posted the exact same way, and he was also a Knicks-Raptors fans. Weird that he's banned now, huh?

I am not a knicks fan, I am a cavs fan. I used Knicks in this name because someone made a comment about me changing my name after Lebron leaves.

I cannot use my real ip because I live with someone else and they are paranoid about who gets their ip address, so they force me to use proxys. Anyway, you can ban for this reason, or you can keep me on the board because I am a poster that brings up the quality of realgm. Your choice, and I think the correct choice is obvious.
