Can you be suspened for following the rules?

What is RealGM's policy on moderators who suspend someone without just cause?
Can you be suspended by following the rules the moderator has described to you? I had a moderator suspend me for 3 days after he had told me (and others) in a thread to what constitutes "trolling." I then asked a harmless non-trolling question and was suspended for "trolling." Such moderator behavior can only be seen as unethical and dishonest.
Is there any moderator oversight or accountability on here?

I'd recommend you first PM the mod that suspended you to determine why he did what he did.

Here is also a fun fact. Admins suspend people.
Anyway, Brooklyn is right, try PM'ing him to get clarification.

But can they prove their innocence? I can.

You haven't even begun to. Let's hear your case. And you should speak with whoever PMed you about the suspension, first.

you were warned for coming over to gloat and troll in the
"bynum looks ahead to the celtics" thread after a suns win. it was
very clearly stated (references to the suns have since been changed to the celtics) during the entire series that there would be very little tolerance for those type of actions. this action by itself didn't get you suspended, the fact that it was your 3rd warning (all 3 have been for trolling the lakers board, all by different mods) got you suspended under the basic 3 warnings - 3 day suspension rule.
if you have any other concerns about this, feel free to pm. i won't respond to this thread any further since its really just an attempt to attention grab and not a true attempt to discuss the situation. you were asked to pm several times already, but still haven't done so.

Huh? I have never been accused of trolling the Laker forum. I certainly don't ever recall being warned. I very, very seldom ever read the forum.
Now for the truth:
You defined trolling to me as "trying to piss a fan base off by posting ridiculous claims." See here:
viewtopic.php?f=19&p=23370535#p23369501What was my offense according to you? Posting these 7 words: "Come on Bynum, talk some more for us!" in a thread started by someone else titled, "Bynum Looks Ahead To Finals Against Celtics". See here:
viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1013508&start=45Sorry sir, but that does not remotely rise to the level of "trolling" as you defined it to me. Additionally, no one else thought anything of my comment as remotely having anything to do with trolling.
Your behavior is nothing less than a cop telling someone it is ok to sit on a park bench and then writing them a ticket for sitting on the bench.

Um, you do realize those links you just posted show you posting on the Lakers forum?

Multifarious avenues of approach vie for attention as potential retorts to Mr. Sun's dangerous nostrums. First off, Sun has written more than his fair share of lengthy, over-worded, pseudo-intellectual tripe. In all such instances he conveniently overlooks the fact that he frequently demands reparations for what only he perceives as injustices committed against him. Regular readers of my posts probably take that for granted, but if I am to take the lemons that he's handing us and make lemonade, I must explain to the population at large that in asserting that superstition is no less credible than proven scientific principles, Sun demonstrates an astounding narrowness of vision. When Sun made his puppy-dog goombahs wag their little tails by promising to let them hijack the word "microclimatological" and use it to create a desolation and call it peace, I realized for the first time that Sun's manuscripts are very much in line with fastidious, virulent insurrectionism in that they compromise the things that define us, including integrity, justice, love, and sharing. That's probably obvious to a blind man on a galloping horse. Nevertheless, I suspect that few people reading this letter are aware that Sun shouldn't encourage individuals to disregard other people, to become fully self-absorbed. That's just plain common sense. Of course, the people who appreciate his bromides are those who eagerly root up common sense, prominently hold it out, and decry it as poison with astonishing alacrity.
Think about it. I commend to your earnest and philosophical consideration Sun's plan to take rights away from individuals whom only Sun perceives as tendentious. Which brings us to the harsh reality that must be faced: Sun should get off his pedestal and walk a day in our shoes. I put that observation into this letter just to let you see that Sun wants me to stop trying to fight the warped, distorted, misshapen, unwholesome monstrosity that his stratagems have become. Instead, he'd rather I give in to the quacks, witch doctors, charmers, sorcerers and fortune tellers who tell us that our only chance of saving the planet is to accept unending regulations and straightjacket "reforms" from his flunkies. Sorry, but I don't accept defeat that easily.
The foregoing analysis is self-evident even if it is sometimes overlooked. Less evident are the specific ways in which we should kick butt and take names. There are two things about Sun's ipse dixits that I find personally offensive, thoroughly unethical, and quite sad. One is that we must try our level best to challenge the present and enrich the future. And the other is that if Sun thinks that his beliefs won't be used for political retribution then maybe he should lay off the wacky tobacky. Any correspondence between what he says and the truth is purely coincidental. Am I being unduly harsh for writing that? I think not. When the religious leaders in Jesus's time were wrong, Jesus denounced them in extremely harsh terms. So why shouldn't I, too, use extremely harsh terms to indicate that Sun's zealots are nothing more than what I call self-aggrandizing shirkers? As I conclude this message, let me remind you that my goal in writing it was not only to protect our peace, privacy, and safety. I sought also to use this letter as a means to disseminate as widely as possible all of the information we have regarding Mr. Sun's ethically bankrupt, pestiferous false-flag operations.
