Is the report function done anonymously? Meaning if i report a post to the mods for violation of realgm rules, would the mods know which poster reported the post?


I've never used the report function before and i don't ever intend to. I'm just curious.

Report any of my posts to find out. Their all stoopid so it's probably correct to do so.

You can PM a specific mod if you don't want a specific mod to see your report.

Thats what i thought. That's gonna discourage people from using the report function, no?

No, because if someone is breaking a rule then it's taken care of. Why would a moderator get angry at you for reporting a violation?

Mods don't break the rules silly.

lol this. Also, you can PM a specific mod for that board and ask for an explanation.

I've never heard of a mod being angry about seeing a post reported.

Also, only moderators of that specific forum can see the reports, so I can't see what posts have been reported and who reported them on, for example, the General Board.

I am happy to see reports. The more reports I handle, the bigger my bonus check from realgm is.

I got in trouble (banned from a specific board) for reporting posts like over a year ago, it's a bummer, I try to do the right thing
