OT: What is a "Warning Level"?

Post#1 » by dillio » Mon Sep 20, 2010 11:23 pm

I just noticed this on the User Control Panel. What does it mean? I'm guessing it's the number of times that a person has been warned, but is there a magic number before it turns into a ban? Do old warnings ever expire?

It's under "Total Posts" when you click "User Control Panel". If you don't have one, I'm guessing you've never been warned...

Googling "RealGM "Warning Level"" turned up a couple posts related to it but nothing solid...

I have never noticed the "warning level" before so I'm going to move this to the feedback forum in hopes that someone can help you.

As for warnings expiring, they never do. Mods do take into consideration how old warnings are though and value them less after awhile.

Depending on how offensive your post is you can be banned and not even warned.

I do not see anything called warning level under user control panel. I have been warned before but that was more than a year ago. Can a mod let me know where i can find this warning level ?

That's gangsta ! (not as much as Brezec or I'mSoHood, off course)

I'm going to carribeans with my kids in 2 weeks, so for me 'warning level' is now about the probability of hurricanes. But when I read the title I also thought about the security against terrorism. So my conclusion is that a ban from Realgm is relatively not catastrophic, even after a few thousands posts.
"But the thing is, maybe I do want to wake up one morning and say, `Baby, let's go to the Bahamas. Today.' That costs money. So what if I want to do that?
