A Way to Clean Up the Boards

Hey,

I was thinking that, for the purpose of reducing the number threads which have previously been posted, RGM could implement an addon where when one wants to make a new thread, the forum gives them threads which are similar. For example, if I want to post a thread on Wade vs Kobe in the PC board, it would show me all of the threads which have been created on said topic, ordered by date. This addon is featured in many forums, for example, androidcentral.com.

Now, I understand that there are some problems with this. First, RGM is based on phpBB, and I have only seen this plugin on vBulliten forums. There is also the issue of searching/server load, because it will have to search through the threads every time a new thread needs to made. Regardless, if the plugin exists for phpBB and the server can handle the increased load, I think it would be a very good android for the forum, especially for the General Board.

Good idea, but the server load issue will kill this along with most other additions to the forums.
