Most team forums have threads like this popping up anyways, but a static one could be really fantastic.

This was posted in a thread on the CA board, and I thought it was a cool idea. Thought I'd post it here.

Maybe a "Lifestyle" forum, as part of the Off Topic Boards? Alongside the OTB, Media Lounge etc...?

Seems like it could have merit. There is quite a bit of talk on both categories around the OTB.

Yeah, it's a good idea IMO...it would better though to combine then into 1 forum called Lifestyle or Leisure, etc (as mentioned above). Where things like Travel, Food, Drinks, etc can all be discussed.

The downside being that the OTB would likely take a big hit in activity and/or there would be a TON of overlap and redundant Topics on both Boards.

...But yeah, I agree it's a good idea.

I like the idea that the OTB would turn into a giant RTT.

I don't see the need for it. Any question or thread in either of the proposed forums could easily fit in to the OTB. There is currently a thread on the front page of the OTB that had it's last reply 2 days ago. It's not like the OTB is so active that threads on these topics would be buried.

Delaney usually starts food/drink topics. Just the other day I was wondering how to peel an eggplant.

Travel? no opinion -

You barrel it with swift and precise knife cutting skills.

Why would you need to peel it though? What are you making?

For fried you can just leave the skin on, Grilled works better though.

For stuffing, steam it and adfterwards the skin will be easy to peel off by hand if it's really necessary.

I know there are plenty of recipes where the skin is left on - the eggplant stuffing recipe I us tastes like the stuffing that goes with turkey.
