Rollover ads

Post#1 » by Veggamattic » Thu Oct 21, 2010 7:19 pm

I just got freaked out when some strange interview started playing quite loudly in my office. Companies that use roll over ads that automatically start playing audio and video with out being requested, piss me off. If Real GM is going to be the kind of sleazy website that plays these reindeer games I for one will not be back. I believe it is important to be outspoken about this type of thing.

And I'm sure the mods will be very outspoken in directing this to the Feedback & Suggestions forum. Although I agree that I hate those ads. That's why I just keep my computer muted until I want to listen to music or watch a video.

I agree these ads are terrible. At home I use firefox with ad-block plus but at school this is not an option. I always am on high alert when signing onto realgm from a non home computer.

I use the AdBlock extension for Google Chrome and I don't see a single ad on RealGM, including the in-text ads on the forum.
