Why is the OT Canada forum hidden??

Why is the OT Canada forum hidden? I honestly didn't even know this place existed until someone mentioned it in a thread in the CA board.

This subforum isn't displayed along the other Off Topic subforums. Even going to RealGM forums, then clicking Off Topic doesn't show this one. I have to click on one of those sub forums, then click Off Topic from within there to get here. I'm sure there are other people who have no idea this place even exists.

Can a mod please make a recommendation to have this forum be more visible please?

There's a link at the top of the Raptors board, seems pretty visible to me. :dontknow:

Wow, I had never actually noticed that Gremz. Fair enough.

But then why is it missing from the Off Topic list at the bottom of the page when you first click on Forums?

Well, there are a whole bunch that aren't listed there. Would be a huge list if they were all made available.

I just use the "Jump To:" link at the bottom right of the page.

But those other ones are support forums, no? This one looks like the only discussion forum that's omitted.

I see it everytime I click on Off Topic from the board index. There are 5 boards there.

Well, getting to it once you know it exists is not really the issue. I'm just saying that if it was visible to everyone on the main forum page, perhaps it would get more traffic.

I'm sure I'm not the only forum member that wasn't aware of this board for a while before stumbling onto it.

Just my 2 cents. If mods feel otherwise, that's cool.

Wow, I feel bad for Seattle. And Vancouver.

But seriously though....is it actually hard to unhide this forum on the main page? You guys don't seem to be in favour, but even if you were, is it a pain in the ass to actually do it?

I don't see how it's hidden.

It's in the "Jump To" drop down menu, what more do you need?

I think you're misunderstanding me. I have no trouble getting to the Canada OT forum. I have it bookmarked. I'm trying to understand why it's the only OT board that's hidden. I think if you unhide it on the main forum page, it will get more traffic.

In OT, the General, Current Affairs, Media Lounge, and Graphic Design are all listed on the main forum page. The only one omitted is the Canada OT board. What's the point in hiding it?

They don't have an NBA team. Canada does. And the Raptors fanbase is huge on RealGM.

The reason there is a OT Canada isn't because of the special needs in adding extraneous vowels to words or converting weights and measures to metric; it's because the Raptor board is too large and crowded to handle all the random OT material that came. It's specifically a board meant for the Raptor board and not based on the need for a Canadian topic. Had the Bucks board had that problem when the boards creation was viewed as the best option it could have been OT Wisconsin. There aren't plans for other fan bases to have one based on the current needs, it's just sort of grandfathered into existence.

Plus I have never thought of it as being hidden. I see it in the OT menu.

No, I'm logged in. The only difference I can see is that the forum in Darth's pic is located at "Board index ‹ Non-Sports Talk ‹ Off-Topic" whereas the main forum that is missing the OT Canada board is located at "Board index ‹ Sports Talk ‹ RealGM Basketball". His pic required navigating to the Off Topic section in the Non Sports Talk board. The pic I posted is the main forum page that loads when you first click on "Forums" at the top of the RealGM homepage.
