Since the feedback thread was locked and either there isn't an official feedback thread here or I am blind I made I new thread.

I personally really like the new changes and the expansion into college and D-League in particular. It will take awhile to get to the layout (Why isn't there a new layout on the forum views?), but it is nice - I may actually start using RealGM over Yahoo! for most of my sporting news.

Suggestions:
1) Do something with the main navigation bar - it seems cluttered using the | spacer in my opinion.

2) Get some more entertainment bloggers - it's 2011 and there are plenty of members of the forums that are witty/interesting. I realize there are articles/blog posts, but they're more like news articles in my opinion. Yahoo! has Ball Don't Lie and TheScore has Basketball Jones. This is a forum and should have the one up on those sites based on the pool of available writers here.

2a) Another option would be to set up a promotion system where if someone makes a great or interesting post on a forum it's main post content could get promoted to a blog article or main page feature (kind of like the Yahoo! Answers posts that occasionally make it on the main page, but do it on a more regular basis). This gives posters the incentive to make more knowledgeable and contributive threads and makes RealGM look like it cares about the forums more because that appearance (whether true or not) is clearly an issue among posters.

3) Release and iPhone app that has customizable Wiretap article feeds for particular teams, sports or sections like the new ones just created.

Minor Issue(s):

1) When you are on a college team page and it shows their respective conference standings, it shows the over all record instead of the conference record, perhaps show both with the overall record in parentheses or something? Doesn't make much sense the way it is because conference standings aren't determined by overall record.

There are some bugs with the new format. When you click on the Raptors page from the Forums section it takes me to the Jazz board.

The drop down menu is back.

BUT.....

When I reach the Toronto Raptors Front Office and click "FORUMS" it takes me to the JAZZ forum.

Also, will you include the RECENT threads in the front office.

I always liked how at the front office I can see the most recently made threads, whereas when I go to the actual forums page I see the threads in order of most recent post.

G=K, I can't comment on everything here, but what are your thoughts on improving the navigation? It seems pretty clean to me, but I've been looking at it for a while in development. Why not take a few days to get used to it, and then see if you still have problems with it?

I'll check out the college standings, thanks.

Hey can you guys put in automatic image re sizing? Lots of boards have it. If images are too wide here they go off the frame.

^^+1

Also, When you show the LEAGUE LEADERS on the home page. If you could make the PPG, APG, SPG all hyperlinks to take you to a page that shows you the list of players sorted by PPG, APG, SPG respectively. I think that would be a nice touch.

Having the Forums all the way at the end of the bar is a bit obnoxious. Since it is the main draw of the site it seems like it should be more prominent. Also you could probably have the "National Team" section be a part of "International" since it plays under FIBA rules.

I think they are trying to make the forums a bonus of the site and its news and other features the main draw. I can't blame them if they are, forums are a dieing thing on the internet and seem to cost more money than they bring in.

The navigation has been starting to grow on me - I appreciate the simplicity and effectiveness of it over the cluttered look that too many gradients or images there would cause. It'd be nice for some sort of new navigation to take over on the forum pages. I'm sure that change will come once the other sections of the site get redesigned (which I assume is inevitable?), but the transition between different styled navigation bars and different width main content areas is awkward at best.

Your signature is 1000x more obnoxious than an over-sized image and I believe that it violates the forums signature rules.

There are far too many moderators on the general board period. Beyond that, there are too many who far too often allow personal bias and agenda dictate how they moderate threads. They are far too afraid of intense conversation and often lock, suspend or waive far too early in the process. It's a Sports Message Board, not a Civil Rights Seminar. Flash3 is the first to come to mind. His subjectivity is unbearble.

I hardly ever post on here, but have been reading for quite some time as you can see my join date.
