What about a fitness/health forum?

I was thinking about this and just wondering if RealGM can add a forum devoted to health and fitness. A forum where posters can talk anything health related including workouts, nutrition, and any physical activity in general. I think since this is a basketball forum (primarily, I know it covers every other sport as well) there's bound to be fitness enthusiasts and/or people that want to exercise right? Thoughts?

I keep All Moderator searches close to vest. If someone is on my radar, they are unlikely to know about it.
I doubt we will add a Health and Fitness Forum but I never close the door on anything.

I think it is a good idea also. The topic seems to pop up on a regular basis and various members do offer advice (some good, some not so good) when people ask. It would be harder to find for newcomers but someone could always start a thread in the OTB or something and see if it stays afloat. I am sure thre are quite a few members who could acually offer valuable advice to people looking for knowledge.

If there is a thread somewhere that gets really popular, a new board becomes more of a possibility.
We spun off Player Comparisons from the General NBA Forum and Fantasy Basketball Games from the Fantasy Basketball Forum due to interest and like I said, I never close the door on anything.

In relation to your above post, can i create a thread in the otb?
Can it get stickied of sorts?

KingCuban,
That's up to that forum's Moderators.
It will be their choice.

It can be stickied if you agree to unsticky OTA. Deal?

The decision is in the hands of the Off-Topic Forum Moderators.
They can have both topics stuck, one or none.

Are you saying that those flowers I sent meant nothing to you?

a health forum would be nice. something to cover workout regimens for different sports, nutrition, hygiene (?), o anything similar.

I'm not ruling it out.
For now, it will be an OT thread.
