I think if there is a site update, a live chat should be added. I think this is especially needed to improve game threads. I usually go on the Knicks boards on this website, and the game threads can get crazy. Many people just write stuff like "Melo!", "WOW", "NIce D Amar'e", "Defense", "Fire Pringles".

I think a live chat will be a nice addition so people can place there one liners theire and leave the game threads for more insightful thoughts.

Right now there is 33 pages on the Knicks-Wizards game thread. In five minutes I bet it gets to 42. Pages are filled with one liners. I do not mind them, but I think it will be better in a live chat so it will be easier to replay to one another. And if someone does right something insightful, it usually overlooked.

I am sorry if this website already have a live chat, I did not find it anywhere.

We used too but forget why it stopped.

I think this would be a great idea. We could have specific chat channels for specific games of the day and a general lounge. It would probably make this much simpler to use and I don't think it would affect the bandwidth or anything of the site because you could use an external source and just place a button on the top called "chat" that would open a pop up box on people's computers!


Though I'd miss the 90+ page threads that appear so quick, so incredible how much a fan base of any team can bring up that many posts in the span of a 2 1/2 hour game

I would love this idea too, it could improve the quality of the GT's.

On other forums I've posted on having live chats has reduced the number of posts on the actual forum itself, which isn't always a good thing. People talk in there and get into debates, then discussions are had that would have otherwise been had on the forum had the chat not been there. It'd be good as a game thread replacement though

I agree that it takes away from the forums themselves. You also lose the ability to go back and see a users posting history. It also opens up to more trolling and spamming that is harder to moderate and control.

I see where you guys are coming from, but what about a chat rooms dedicated to only live games?

I actually think someone else suggestion might be better to help game threads than my chat suggestion. He suggested more post views per page. I think this would be perfect, with a faster quick reply, where once you submit it will show your post immediately and refresh new post without the conformation page.

Sorry if I am asking for too much or being annoying. I just felt the need to suggest.
