Whenever I go to the general board there seem to be a lot of threads that seem pointless and go nowhere. It's gotten to the point that I don't even like clicking on the general board because I know what I'm going to be in for. I'm just wondering if the moderators need to use more control and up the standards.

It's impossible. Pointless and stupid is not necessarily quantifiable or against the rules. I recommend perusing the more topical boards. Any idea should be able to fit there.

It is a difficult place to police but one thing we are going to do is restrict access to the forum a bit and more details will be available in the weeks ahead.
