Hey How About A Fitness Board?

Post#1 » by Boobs » Sat May 12, 2012 7:05 pm

I was thinking this morning, RealGM lacks a fitness board. Somewhere we athletes and health enthused posters can join to learn more, educate, and help. Please don't suggest the General Off-Topic board, because as everyone on the forum knows, that board is a joke. Not a chance you'd get an answer.

I would love to help out, as I am a personal trainer myself and have been working out for over 3 years intensely. However, this board isn't for those who've been pushing themselves, if you're looking to lose a couple pounds, or go on a new diet, or have suggestions it would see fit.

Anyways, just my two cents. Hopefully something can be done.

Thanks.

Boobs,

This suggestion has been brought up in the past but it does not seem there is enough interest.

If a thread for it got really popular and went through multiple threads, I could reconsider.

While I have high standards for a subject getting it's own forum, The Australian Sports and Discussion Forum launched last year after strong support and on Tuesday, we are launching a Video Game Forum that I still have to finalize a name for.

Anything can happen and I never close the door on anything.

Fair enough. Although I think it's hard to gauge interest without anywhere to post. I actually made an account on Body Building forums for that specific reason. Thought there's always room for improvement, and it is a board RealGM lacks. At the end of the day, it's your call.

Even though it's full of Aussies, there is a fitness thread HERE. Enjoy, friend!

The General Other Sports Forum is the gateway to a subject getting it's own forum.

There was also one (probably a couple over the last year or so) on the OTB that went alot longer and was pretty successful despite what boobs believes. King Cuban would be able to link it.

But id be all for a health and fitness forum. Give it a whirl howard!!

I think you know where i stand with this one Howard.

Id be more than happy to mod that board if it ever did eventuate.

For all other users in the interim, come to the Australian board. I dont care if you're not Australian, but come by and use our thread. If you're not comfortable there, feel free to use the link Ozzy posted.

It always has been under consideration.

I am not sure enough interest is there though.

Long pages in the Aus board and other sports. I think it's a sign ;)

If people want their own fitness board so much, you really should use the other sports or Aussies board more often. The work out thread hasn't even been touched in like a year. And honestly, a few pages doesn't create enough interest to start a brand new forum, imo.

Right, I was talking about the link that Ozzie posted. The Aussie board has had 6 posts since the 17th of May, which isn't bad since it's just a thread inside of a forum. Just saying, you gotta create more interest than just 5-10 people asking for it, imo.
