I don't know if it's due to an increased laxness by the mods or just an influx of new posters but the quality of topics posted has seen a sharp decline, in its place the numerous bait/hidden agenda/conspiracy theory threads has increased exponentially.
Being a board member for a number of years now this change has been quite noticeable. I believe steps should be taken to remedy this for the good of the site as a whole.

Re: State of the general board
D. Brasco,
I appreciate your feedback.
A few days ago, we put in place a new feature where new users will not be allowed to post for 30 days. This could be lengthened in the future.
In addition, I am working on an harder policy than we have now which is going to tighten the reigns even further on the forum.
While we have gone hard in the past, it has not worked and this time we are going the full length of the court to tighten things on the forum once and for all.
I appreciate your feedback.

On the general board or just any board in general?
