iPod banned, Laptop all is good

I tried to view the site on my iPod 4 hours ago and was denied with the message I had been banned permanently for spamming.

Now, I'm on my laptop and all is good. I'm using the same router, so the IP should be the same.

Was that a temporary glitch while avatars and sigs were being hidden?

Have you tried to connect with your iPod again?

I had a similar problem today. Obviously, I can post right now on my home computer but on my phone, it said I was permanently banned for being a returning banned user. I don't know what the IP address situation is when I'm on my phone with 3G Internet so that could be the problem. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I think we need to update our policy of how long IP addresses are banned. I think some people are having bad luck and their ISP is randomly assigning them one of the banned IP addresses.
