Has a minimum character post been considered?

I'll often see responses to well thought out thread topics with these one word responses i.e no, lol, yes, cool etc.

Has there ever been consideration to put in a character limit for posts? I think it would improve thread responses and maybe help to eliminate glorified post padding.

That is actually something we are looking into.

It does derail discussion and we already outlaw it on The General NBA Forum.

Could be something we implement and we are planning many exciting changes this year.
