I notice when I try to reply to a thread on the General Board it tells me that new users cannot post for the first 3 days, but my account tells me I joined over 3 days ago. Is something meant to have happened yet?

But then why does the message tell me new users must wait 3 days when I try to reply to a post?

It's probably for the rest of the site, just try to post on a different forum.

jman2585,

We do not have a 3 day limit to reply to post.

The only restriction we have is a 100 day waiting period for new users to post on our General NBA Forum.

If you get that message again, please post a screenshot and I will forward it to our Tech people.

Thanks!

*BUMP*

I didn't think it was threadworthy, so I bumped this one. Just wanted to give a suggestion to you guys in Mod-Land.

It seems that a lot of brand new posters can't keep themselves from starting a thread upon arrival. Most of the time, the threads are either differently worded repeats of existing threads or the OP is horribly written . I would suggest to the new guys that instead of coming in making threads, simply take the time to learn the board. Also, get themselves accustomed to the different posters & their particular posting styles, while chiming in with their opinion here & there.

That being said, should brand new posters be allowed to start threads before they reach a certain post number and or 30 day active account?

BIGGIEsmalls 23,

We have considered a restriction on new users starting threads but have no plans to implement such a restriction at this time.
