Why doesn't realgm use either of those two? Those two are more modern and have greater functionality than phpBB does.

Because not enough people seem to care about the design and instead of wasting the time to fix something that ain't broke, they add more useful things. Though I'd rather have Vbulletin myself.

We are fully committed to phpBB at this point. It would be extremely difficult to smoothly convert a forum of our size to another platform.
