Why is this the only website I regularly visit that will just randomly crash on me? I just lost a reply I was typing, a rather long one. Incredibly annoying.

Basically what I came to say, after a couple minutes of typing on mobile the page will just randomly crash and reload and lose your comment. It’s not useable on mobile anymore

I was told to post my issue in here instead of in another thread I made. Here was what I posted:

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I'm having a problem seeing Twitter links when they're posted. I will see "Read on Twitter" instead of the full link. I will include screenshots at the bottom for reference.

So far these are the steps that I have tried:

1) I tried using Google Chrome and the links showed up in full, so I realized that it is not something new to RealGM.

2) I thought it may be because of Firefox, so I downloaded it on my phone but everything worked fine there too.

3) I decided to delete all board cookies, my entire internet cache, as well as all of my browser data. But still no luck after a restart.

I'm not really computer savvy so I apologize if the solution is simple. But this is as far as my PC knowledge goes.

As you can see, it's the exact same post, but one can see the entire tweet while the other cannot. I will also say that Youtube videos show up fine if that's related at all.

I've blocked every ad on realgm and I still get a "threat detected" warning from my Bitdefender virus scan every 10-20 seconds, so this site's been unusable for me the last couple of weeks. Basically I start typing and within a few seconds another warning comes up, and another, and another. You might be running a bad ad that's gumming up the works because I don't get this on any other site.

Does the search function on here just go on vacation every few months?

The words in the board index are ALWAYS truncated on my phone. Even in landscape mode. This does not happen on my computer. It's really annoying. I don't think I have this problem with any other forum. So the problem is on your end. Not mine.

Is there any way to load the desktop version of RealGM on my phone? I just wanna see what happens.




Edit: I forgot that Firefox has switch for that. In Desktop mode, all the words in the forum index are UNtruncated. The only problem is that obviously desktop mode is too big for a phone. But there's absolutely no reason for the forum index to be truncated in phone mode. Not when there's tons of unused white space available in the area. This is a serious screw up. I guess only phpBB can fix it and RealGM can only complain to them to do so. I guess I'll have to live with switching to Desktop mode when I need to use the index. Everyone else can do that too, but they may not have a convenient switch available to them if they use a another browser. You used to have to install a user agent switcher add-on in Firefox to do what the switch does. Other browsers may have a similar add-on. Or maybe have they already have the switch like Firefox does.

Are any of the bugs ever actually fixed(not counting when a software update just happens to fix one) or is this thread just intended as a place for people encountering a bug to vent about it?

Are there any plans to updated the app so polls can be viewed and participated in? How about And 1 capabilities being added? The ability to simply paste a link in and have it appear with a preview (the year is 2022)?

Does anyone actually read these? (I will probably never know since notifications aren't working).

Ya'll have to do something about these Spam Ad's on this site. There is one that randomly takes up half the page the past week. And, I know for a fact it is not my browser as I get no spam anywhere but RealGM. I visited on my work computer of which got the same exact spam. Can send screenshots if you like.
